JORDAN BEKOE LARBIE (CA, EMBA) EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
A Chartered Accountant by Profession and currently pursuing project management course from PMI and EMBA from University of Ghana Business School. Mr. Larbie was born on 1st March, 1973 and has worked for over fifteen years as accounting, auditing and taxation practitioner with organizations like Cemonit Gh. Limited, Voltic Gh. Ltd. i-Tel Limited & Blue Pod Limited, and African Concrete Products (ACP) Ltd.
Now Executive Director at Jorbies Limited. His major achievement includes setting up of accounting and payroll systems for accurate and timely report generation to stakeholders with modifications to internal controls. He has extensive knowledge in projects management and has managed quite a number of projects for clients.
Worth mentioning is the multi-billion-dollar building project for Blue Pod at British High Commission when he was with i-Tel Ltd as the finance and project manager. He is a fleet owner and by his associated with Car Rentals Organisations, also gave him some impetus into vehicles renting and transportation businesses.
He is well versed into managing funds as he singularly secure Gh¢20m funds for i-Tel Ltd. on the MTN airtime products and Blue Pod Ltd. Flats at British High Commission. He is a good negotiator and self-driven with analytical abilities to form a good decision. Mr. Larbie forms teamwork with a participatory leadership style. He is married with two children.
JOYCE OSEI OWUSU LARBIE (SECRETARY)
Born on 29th July, 1979 and currently finalizing a research work to complete a study in Management with computing and a major in Marketing from Regent University of Science and Technology. Miss Osei Owusu started her career with Shion Enterprise as sales personnel; Mevajulie Enterprise as Sales Manager; thence to Nicjoyemma Enterprises as sales manager and currently the Marketing Executive of Provident Insurance Co. Ltd. (PIC).
She has extensive knowledge in rentals and leasing of equipment to miners in Tarkwa and Obuasi as a quasi contractor and a dealer in the natural resource. She also dabble as an importer of needed items to clients. Her association with Ghana Financial Service Limited gave her the needed exposures into Micro Finance and she, (with a support from the Executive Director) currently managing the Micro-Finance project of Jorbies Limited under the name Happy Urself Investment.
MR. NII BAAH BARNOR (ACCOUNTS MANAGER)
Was born on 18th February 1982. He started his basic school in Accra and finished in Koforidua. He pursued engineering science at St. Francis secondary School – Akim Oda. He sat the General Certificate Examination (GCE O’ Level). He studied business subjects for only four months and did marvelously well that made him to sit the GCE Advance level. Nii Baah then pursued Accountancy for a career.
He enrolled with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) Ghana. He completed level one passing four subjects at first attempt within a matter of six (6) months, and was studying for Level two when he got the opportunity to travel to London on a holiday.
He decided to stay and was admitted at the London College of Accountancy (LCA) to read the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) course and Bachelor of Arts BA in Applied Accounting. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management and is in the process of achieving a professional Project Management (PMP) status.
Nii has worked with a number of Institutions thereby gaining huge experience. Notable amongst them are teaching Junior High School students at Veritas International School Accra for three years. He also has great Marketing Skills and exposures after working for Marks and Spencer plc. Sainsbury’s plc, Boots plc, British Gas and Barclays Bank plc all in the United Kingdom for various marketing roles and customer advisory roles. He worked as Accounts manager and Projects Manager for NBS Limited - a real estate company in Accra, before joining Jorbies Limited. In January, 2010.
Nii is an ardent religious fellow and very sociable. He serves on various executive positions, eg. President for the youth, Financial Secretary, Secretary etc. also a member of the Parochial Church Council (PCC) and the Youth and Education Committee – all at St. Luke’s Anglican Church. His hobbies are playing and watching football, reading and social helps.
MR. SEFA BOAKYE (OPERATIONS MANAGER)
Mr. Sefa Boakye is a Thirty-one (31) year old gentleman who started his primary education at Job Foundation International School – Kumasi. He later joined St. Augustine’s Anglican Junior Secondary School and completed in 1994. After his tremendous performance, he gained an admission to further his secondary education at Prempeh College to study Science.
He gained admission in 2001 at Kwame Nkrumah University of science and Technology - Kumasi, where he graduated with BSc. Mathematics and obtained a second class upper division in 2004. He did national service with Cambridge Secondary School in Kumasi and later joined Metropolitan Insurance Company for a few months and before joining Standard chartered Bank Ghana in 2006. In June 2010 he joined Jorbies Limited.
He is a hard working person who is focused, determined and always wants to find new ways of doing things. Some of his work achievements with Standard Chartered Bank are; as an Operation Officer he was given a whole desk to manage independently in the absence of his Supervisor, barely a week of joining the department and it was handled without issues.
Also, he played a major role in the review of the department’s processes in terms of its operations which was an audit issue and with his major contribution towards this course; the department was successful in the subsequent group audit. As a result of that he was given an additional role as the Unit operational risk person who made sure controls were adhered to.
MR. OSEI-BOAKYE DOMINIC (MARKETING/HR MANAGER)
Dominic commenced his tertiary education at the All Nations University College-Koforidua (E/R) in 2003 and transferred to Wisconsin International University College-Accra. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Studies (First Class Honors) in May, 2007. He received the best graduating student award from the business school of Wisconsin International University College in 2007.
His academic excellence made the university poach him to become a teaching assistant and did so as national service personnel - teaching courses such as management, business communication, human resource management, marketing, organizational behavior etc. In 2008, he was voted by students as the best supporting staff and worker.
. He enrolled on the university’s MBA programme which run in the evening and completed in 2010 with Mater of Business Administration (Marketing Option) with a distinction. He was also in-charge of lecturers’ evaluation with the designing of questionnaires, distribution and analysis using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences. He also managed Silver Palm hostel from 2005 to December 2006.
Dominic also holds Local Economic Development and Growth Certificate from the World Bank, skill certificate in Problem Solving Skills as well as certificate in organizational leadership, team playing and report writing.
Mr. Osei-Boakye is single and speaks English and Twi, and a Christian. He hopes to build a strong career in marketing management and make positive impact on the lives of people and increase the productivity of his organizations. He joins Jorbies with these rich academic exposures.
