Professor John Bright Aheto (BoD Chairman)
Professor John Bright Aheto has been teaching at the tertiary education level for over 35 years in the US and Ghana. He was the immediate past Dean of the School of Business at Central University College. He was a Deputy Rector of GIMPA and the first Chair for Banking at KNUST School of Business. He is the Chairman for the 2009 ICAG Graduates Network.
He has been widely recognized for excellence in teaching, research, and community service by his employers, peers, students, relevant professional bodies, and community organizations. He was voted “Teacher of the Year” four times at Florida A & M University and twice at Pace University, all in the USA. His academic work has produced over 18 articles, 10 Conference Papers, 38 Training Manuals, 5 Students’ Manuals, and to mentioned but few.
He has made presentations, chaired, moderated, and served as a critic at various professional and academic conferences and workshops. He has also reviewed numerous professional works and textbooks. Currently, he is the Editor-In-Chief for the PentVars Business Journal of Pentecost University College.
Prof. Aheto is and has been an advisor, board member and Chairman of many organizations in Ghana including Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), First BanC Financial Services, FirstBanC Fund, Trassaco Estates Development Company Limited (TEDCL), ABORS Multi-investment, Marjorie Y Hotel Ltd., Volta Fund, PsychonHR, ESS/Ucom, Chances Hotel Limited, City CarWash Limited, Wovenu Senior Technical Secondary School (Chair), Tsiame Senior Secondary School, Zion College, Foundation for Future Leaders Limited, Kinapharma Ghana Ltd., and Ghana Small and Medium Enterprises Network (SMEN).
On his own and as a Senior Associate Consultant for Price-waterhouse-Cooppers, Ernst & Young, and Shawbell Consulting, Prof. Aheto has conducted training (corporate governance) and consultancy work (especially strategic planning and monitoring and evaluation) for a number of multinational and local organization including: Pharmacy Council, Food and Drugs Board, Medical and Dental Council, Ecobank, CAL Bank, Barclays Bank, Ghana Commercial Bank, Merchant Bank, Databank, MTN. TIGO, Kinapharma, Enterprise Insurance Company, West African Health Organization, Nurses and Midwives Council, National Service Scheme, National Health Insurance Authority, Internal Audi Agency, Auditor General’s Department, Controller and Accountant General’s Department, Ministry of Education, Shell, Total, MDPI. Prof. Aheto is married with two adult children.
DR. DARKO ARYEH-KING (MEMBER)
A renowned lecturer and currently the CEO of B’ed Research Consult. He is a researcher, an author, an accountant and a strategist with varied experience in his field of professionalism. Dr. Aryeh-King has chaired many boards including Excel Currier Services, Western Investment Consultancy.
He is also a resource personnel of Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants – Ghana and has participated in, and facilitated many programs including workshop, seminars and conferences within Ghana and international rhyme. He has promoted many businesses including non-governmental organizations.
JORDAN BEKOE LARBIE (CA, EMBA) EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
A Chartered Accountant by Profession and currently pursuing project management course from PMI and EMBA from University of Ghana Business School. Mr. Larbie was born on 1st March, 1973 and has worked for over fifteen years as accounting, auditing and taxation practitioner with organizations like Cemonit Gh. Limited, Voltic Gh. Ltd. i-Tel Limited & Blue Pod Limited, and African Concrete Products (ACP) Ltd.
Now Executive Director at Jorbies Limited. His major achievement includes setting up of accounting and payroll systems for accurate and timely report generation to stakeholders with modifications to internal controls. He has extensive knowledge in projects management and has managed quite a number of projects for clients.
Worth mentioning is the multi-billion-dollar building project for Blue Pod at British High Commission when he was with i-Tel Ltd as the finance and project manager. He is a fleet owner and by his associated with Car Rentals Organisations, also gave him some impetus into vehicles renting and transportation businesses.
He is well versed into managing funds as he singularly secure Gh¢20m funds for i-Tel Ltd. on the MTN airtime products and Blue Pod Ltd. Flats at British High Commission. He is a good negotiator and self-driven with analytical abilities to form a good decision. Mr. Larbie forms teamwork with a participatory leadership style. He is married with two children.
OBED KWESI AGBEVORDI PMP (MEMBER)
Was born on 8th December 1959. He is a Project Management Professional PMP from well renowned Project Management Institute PMI (www.pmi.org). He holds Bsc in Building Technology from KNUST in 1987, a Member of Ghana Institute of Surveyors (GhIS) and Ghana Institution of Construction (GIC). He is an associate partner of Fas Consult and currently the Directing Partner of Bojj Engineering and Cost Consult ltd.
He setup FastLink Ltd a company which deals in internet services and secretarial duties. His major achievement includes the development of Tema Infrastructural Services in Community 18-22 and currently working on Community 23-24. He was also involved in the development of Kasaglobal villa at Okpoi-Gonno (Sprintex Road) and the Project Manager for Kasapreko Factory extension project which covers over 8,000 square meter factory-floor- space. He is currently working on the development of an 8,800 metric tons alcoholic storage tank farm for Midland International Ghana Ltd. at Tema Harbour.
JOYCE OSEI OWUSU LARBIE (SECRETARY)
Born on 29th July, 1979 and currently finalizing a research work to complete a study in Management with computing and a major in Marketing from Regent University of Science and Technology. Miss Osei Owusu started her career with Shion Enterprise as sales personnel; Mevajulie Enterprise as Sales Manager; thence to Nicjoyemma Enterprises as sales manager and currently the Marketing Executive of Provident Insurance Co. Ltd. (PIC).
She has extensive knowledge in rentals and leasing of equipment to miners in Tarkwa and Obuasi as a quasi contractor and a dealer in the natural resource. She also dabble as an importer of needed items to clients. Her association with Ghana Financial Service Limited gave her the needed exposures into Micro Finance and she, (with a support from the Executive Director) currently managing the Micro-Finance project of Jorbies Limited under the name Happy Urself Investment.
